Description:

Great blue herons has a wide wingspan from 1.7 up to 2 meters. It such a great pleasure to see in flight.
Conservation Status: Least Concern

Habitat:

Found in a wide variety of habitats in North America. Likes to feed in calm waters.

Lovely photo Frank! We found a heronry of about 25 nests yesterday but my the aerial shots were taken through trees & none turned out anywhere near as nicely as this!
