straight dark trunk, and bushy head made of thin and long leaves (like hair). it grows like a palm tree or a fern.

Well that was a stroke of luck! It seems your other spotting with the white star shaped flowers is the flower spike of one of these! (Scroll down on the link above) Amazing how woody they are. This looks like a good mature specimen. Do you have any shots that show the whole plant Cecile?
