A Red-tailed Hawk spotted during a photowalk along the Mount Vernon Trail, George Washington Memorial Parkway, Fairfax County, Virginia USA.

I just added four new photos to this spotting. Notice the sunlight focused upon the hawk's face by its eye in Photo 4 of 5 -- talk about a piercing stare! The title of Photo 5 of 5 is, "Finger Lickin' Good!" Yep, that's blood on the hawk's beak. Stay tuned for more photos of the hawk feeding on a small rodent.
