Wow, thank you guys for your help in this case... I've spent hours on this little fella.
Thanks, Scott! I am happy not having been complitely out of the row and I also had difficulties to separate the 2 mentioned species.
Further to my previous comment, here a female (photo # 5) P. blanfordanus http://westernghatherpetofauna.blogspot.com/ Still, I couldn't say for certain which, so I'd go with rock agama, Psammophilus sp.
Psammophilus sp. Range of the two species (Psammophilus dorsalis and Psammophilus blanfordanus) overlap: http://maps.iucnredlist.org/map.html?id=170420 and http://maps.iucnredlist.org/map.html?id=172604. Unfortunately images of females of blanfordanus are hard to come by.
Agamids, Rock Agama?? If yes, which one?... Sorry, mues is Nescht... http://www.flickr.com/photos/anoopaa/1395315649/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/suhaaz/3702239396/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peninsular_rock_agama http://www.flickr.com/photos/anoopaa/1395315649/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/51521377@N00/4052379453
