Field Notes

Description:

Small, light tan insect that rests with its head high and abdomen against the ground. The wings are held upright and vertical. This one has two tails. It had a mottled pattern on the abdomen and no significant pattern on the wings. The eyes have a stripe across the center.

Habitat:

Front door in oak woodland/chaparral transitional habitat

Notes:

Suspect this is Callibaetis pictus
