Hi Ron! Definitely a female, but I think this is a Yellow-sided Skimmer dragonfly (Libellula flavida). Contrast the pterostigmata of your dragon with a Spangled Skimmer (two-toned). Spangled Skimmer dragonfly (female) http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/11370786
