Field Notes

Habitat:

under a solitary pine tree in grassy yard around apt building

Notes:

Our only hestinacy about identifying this as A. campestris is that the gills were never BRIGHT pink. But it has all the other features: thin ring, flesh not brusing (neither red nor yellow), cap skin not bruising, cap with some faint tufts, no odor of iodine, almonds, nor anise.

we thought it was very interesting how the cap skin extends 5mm past the gills and margin (second picture)
