Description:

Small bird with golden speckled yellow chest.

Habitat:

Near Coast of New Hampshire. On the wall of a Lobster Shack (good choice)

Notes:

Bad pictures but cute bird with nest.

They're going to be pretty close in size. All of the eggs would have been laid within days of each other, and then they would have hatched within days of each other. So the one sitting up is probably the oldest, and may be a little bigger, but it won't be much.
Sorry Ashley you must think I am really thick. I know what a fledgling is but this one looks so much bigger then the other ones cuddled up. You think they are all the same size? Must be.
Fledgling just means a young bird that is developed enough to leave the nest, but not an adult yet. All the young in the nest are going to be days apart, fledgling is just describing them at a particular stage in life.
Wow AshleyT just identified this as a fledgling ( thank you AshleyT) but it is sitting on a nest with even younger chicks. How does this work? Anybody knows?
