Description:

It's either a Plains Leopard frog or a Northern Leopard frog... it looks like it may have a light spot on the tympanum but I don't know if it's distinct enough to be a Plains, and my pictures aren't good enough to tell.

Habitat:

On the banks of the Vermillion River, southeastern South Dakota

I'd say it's Rana pipiens due to the fact that the dorsolateral fold is unbroken near the rear leg.
