Field Notes

Description:

Almost forgot to upload all my spottings of the trees around here. This is a silver maple, it's one of the many trees grown at the college gardens here in Independence. This is a relatively young member of the species, as silver maples can get huge, up to 84 feet tall. Mature silver maples also have, well, silver bark.

Habitat:

Native to most of the Eastern US and up into Canada.
