Description:
This bright yellows sea weed was highly branched, translucent and a bright yellow. It looked like stiff jelly but had a crunch to it. Two small clusters seen.
Habitat:
Spotted in a rock pool - Westernport Bay, Victoria, Australia
Notes:
An edible seaweed- used to make jellies. Also eaten as a vegetable. Ref link has interesting information. <br>
My thanks to Jae for identifying the genus. This could be G.salicornia.
