Field Notes

Notes:

Piriritas (Guira Cuckoo) are commonly seen throughout Paraguay, and their distinctive song is often heard in the countryside. This bird, however, is the pet of a Paraguayan family, and is allowed to walk or fly around the house unchecked. He is very affectionate, even cuddling up with your feet under the kitchen table!
