Field Notes

Notes:

My dog found this fella on the pavement at the front of our house, it had somewhow been completely squashed. At first I thought it to be an Anguis Fragilis because of its size and the fact that the tail was missing but it does not seem to fit the colors.

I'm quite curious to know what it is... maybe a juvenile snake? Coronella Austriaca maybe?
