The flowering stalk and leaf arrangement reminds me of Lyreleaf Sage (Salvia lyrata). But the color reminds me more of Autumn Sage (Salvia greggii). Most likely some sort of cultivated hybrid Salvia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvia
