Description:

The muskox live in northern, Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Norway, Sweden and Siberia. No other hoofed animal lives as far north as the muskox. Both male and female muskoxen have long, curved horns. Muskoxen stand 1.1 to 1.5 m high at the shoulder. The Muskox was more widespread before the latest ice age and was reintruduced in Norway in 1947 and 1953.

Habitat:

Lives in arctic climate. During the summer, muskoxen live in wet areas, such as river valleys, moving to higher elevations in the winter to avoid deep snow.
