The individual in your photograph has nostrils midway between the eyes and the snout so cannot be a Water Monitor which has nostrils beside the tip of the snout in order to breathe while swimming. The Clouded Monitor is somewhat smaller than a Water Monitor, this one is likely to be an adult.
