Field Notes

Description:

"The Curculionidae are a family of weevils, commonly called snout beetles or true weevils. They are one of the largest animal families, with 6,800 genera and 83,000 species described worldwide. They are the sister group to the family Brentidae." Wikipedia. I have spent many hours browsing all my favourite websites in the hope of identifying this weevil, but no luck yet. There are just so many of them. If I eventually find it, I will update this spotting.

Habitat:

Spotted on a leaf of Potato Bean (Pachyrhizus erosus) locally known as Sinkamas.
