Description:
Spotted Touch-Me-Not Wildflower. Also called orange Jewel weed. This is an annual late summer to autumn plant that is native to North America. Often seen along creeks, ditches with its less common relative "yellow jewel weed." The flowers are orange with a three-lobed corolla. When the seed pod is fully ripe, it will explode dispersing the seeds inside.
Habitat:
There were several of these spotted touch-me-not wildflowers growing in a field at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville, Maryland.
