Field Notes

Description:

This sea weed has dark green stalks with lighter green finger like projections. The sea weed is spongy to touch and they are often found hanging from tops of rocks in tidal zones giving them the name dead man's fingers.
A clump of weed would be the size of a small broccoli

Habitat:

Intertidal zone

Notes:

These are said to be invasive
