White Wagtail

This is a slender bird, with the characteristic long, constantly wagging tail of its genus. It is grey above and white below, with a white face, black cap and black throat. In non-breeding or winter plumage the black bib is much reduced, the chin and throat being white like the underparts. Sexes alike. A winter visitor in India, runs about swiftly, wagging tail up and down. Eats insects, spiders and other invertebrates.
