Description:

Invasive species. You can distinguish it from the natives by the deeply channeled whirl of the shell. (although not as deeply grooved as the spike-topped apple snail)

Habitat:

Lettuce Lake Park in Hillsborough County. All over the freshwater wetland habitat.

Yes this is not our native species. This is an invasive from South America

That is different than the Apple Snail we have in Florida.
