Actually, I found the same thing, and it is the Laurel Sphinx, Sphinx kalimiae. This was confirmed by many experts at BAMONA.
I would guess tomato hornworm. But have a look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manduca_quinquemaculata. There's a good explanation of both tomato and tobbaco hornworms.
