Field Notes

Description:

The northern mockingbird seems unafraid of people, letting me taking its picture quite easily by calmly sitting on the fence. The female and male are the same with a silvery gray head and back with light gray chest and belly. White wing patches with tail mostly black with white outer tail feathers. Black bill.

Habitat:

Spotted sitting on a fence at the local county park in Millersville, Maryland.
