Description:

This looks like an OLD Old Man of the Woods mushroom, but I can't be sure of the species given the condition it's in. The cap was shaggy and black. Stem covered in wooly scales. Pores were black.

Habitat:

Spotted growing in moss, on the ground in a deciduous forest.
