Description:

One of the most striking of all flycatchers, in its colouration and its courtship behaviour, the male vermilion flycatcher is a small but unmistakable bright red bird, with dark brown plumage.

Habitat:

The Vermillion flycatcher prefers open habitats such as arid scrubland, farmland, desert, savannah, cultivated lands, and riparian woodland settings in southwestern United States, Central America, and far south Argentina.
