I left behind an ID based on the fact that this is a Grey squirrel Drey, Grey Squirrrel are the most common. You have flying squirrels too and they build Dreys too.
A squirrels nest is called a drey and is made up of a ball of twigs, often with leaves attached, and lined with grass, moss and fur
