Field Notes

Description:

Slaty hood, dark purpulish grey-brown above, wings and tail ashy black. Greyish underparts and edge of uppertail coverts are white.

Habitat:

Seen on a beach near cultivated fields. It is known to be associated with toddy palms.

Thanks Anjali, I took these shots as it was looking different than the normal swallows.
This is a good one Satyen...Have seen some 10 to 12 of these all cuddled up together but have never been able to get a good photo..
