Field Notes

Notes:

Initially I took a different photo of this guy while out birding with my wife and a friend. My friend, who is a wildlife biologist, looked at that photo and asked if I knew what it was I just took a picture of. I knew it was a sparrow sp. but was not fully sure. He told me it was a juvenile White-crowned Sparrow and seemed a little excited about the find. We stayed in the area for about fifteen minutes more, examining the bird through binos and snapping shots of it with our cameras. This is the best photo I got of the little guy.
