Field Notes

Notes:

I saw this on the Mount Tibrogargan track in the Glasshouse Mountains. I thought it was a moth, but my research has shown it is actually a skipper butterfly. It is also known as a Wide-brand Grassdart.

Oh, thanks Karen! Obviously I'm an entomology beginner - all hints and tips welcome. : )
Lovely photo! One easy way to tell the difference is butterflies have "clubs" at the end of their antennae wheres moths do not (except for a couple of species of diurnal moth).
