Field Notes

Notes:

The little Sun Bird nest is nearly finished. She is just putting in the feathers and soft things to make it cosy... It's starting to look not so messy.

thanks Akshay, all the best to you also...
Hi pamsai ,based on your description I can guess its a purple rumped sunbird. Good to know that you are concentrating on butterfly ! All the best!!
Hi again Akshay, Check back again in a day or 2. I'll try and get a closer look. Have been concentrating on the butterflies!
Hi Akshay, still trying to figure that out. SHE HAS A PALE YELLOW BREAST AND THE WINGS AND HEAD ARE DARK, BUT IT'S HARD TO GET A GOOD LOOK AT HER CLOSE UP. She moves fast, and doesn't stop! I'm trying to get a photo. Atul said on the last picture I posted, "looks like a purple rumped Sunbird nest! these birds usually hanging disheveled nests like these "
