Field Notes

Description:

Native to Himalayas, azaleas are found in a number of varieties and colors. They can grow in poor soil, and their leaves are covered with soft down that controls water absorption and filters dust, making them ideal for large cities with air pollution. Maybe this is why they are seen everywhere in the city of Taipei.
