Description:
Adult males are up to 5.6 feet (1.7 m) long, females 2 - 3.3 ft (0.6–1 m), males weigh up to 3.3 lb (4.5 kg).
Habitat:
Endemic to the Galapagos Islands. The iguanas living on the islands of Fernandina and Isabela are the largest found anywhere in the Galápagos. On the other end of the spectrum, the smallest iguanas are found on the island on Genovesa. Marine iguanas forage off shore, primarily for algae.
