Field Notes

Description:

Three black lines (with the middle one often broken), on a powder-blue mantle, identify this nudibranch as P. coelestis. It has yellow-tipped pustules running down its length (but the pustules do not form a straight line). Its rhinophores are also yellow-colored. Along the edge of its mantle are smaller-sized pustules that are blue-colored.

Notes:

Spotted this pair on a reef wall in 10m of water. It was Valentine's Day even for nudibranchs!
