I agree with Jellis. The "Western Scrub-Jay" no longer exists and has been split in to two different species. Woodhouse's Scrub-Jay (Aphelocoma woodhouseii) and California Scrub-Jay (Aphelocoma californica). This looks like a Woodhouse's to me as well.
