Field Notes

Description:

Very lovely snake with rainbow colors. Its head is greenish and goes over into yellow and finally the biggest part of its neck is red. It is not afraid and will raise itself before fleeing. It flattens its neck and can flatten its body so it really disappears into short cut bamboo grass. It is rear fanged.

Habitat:

In our garden which has a lot of rubber trees and banana trees. The snake is seen here going into a nice dark rotten banana tree cavity.

Notes:

We have seen this snake (or his/her family) since we live here. See my other spotting. We did spot a baby recently so I guess we have more than one around.
