Field Notes

Description:

Formerly referred to as Chromodoris kuniei. They feed on hydroids, coral, sponges and sea anemones, and grow to about 5cm in length.

Habitat:

Found singly or in pairs in coral and rocky reefs among sand and rubble areas, at depths of 10 to 30m. Widespread in the Indo-West Pacific.

Notes:

This nudibranch was spotted by one of my dive buddies, and his pictures are posted with permission. Spotted at a depth of about 80 feet.
