Description:

Where we found the lichen is in the woods not very deep in,
The lichen was found on a dead fallen tree and was light green in color
temperature: 0 degrees celcius. We believe that this type of lichen is flavoparmelia caparata. Flavoparmelia caparata is also known as the green shield lichenThe green dull leafy Characteristic make us believe its this type of species. The fallen branch was underneath a tree and was in the shade. The windspeed was 45 kilometers. The date we went out to find and search for lichen was 1/18/12. Flavorparmelia caparata is from the Parmeliaceae family.

I think I may have found it.
