Field Notes

Description:

I could have added such spotting years ago because I own a sun conure (or better said she owns me!) for now 8 years. However, I prefer to add this species in my spotting collection by adding these sweet group of sun conures, requesting each others preening.
Very smart, can learn a few words, be potty-trained, learn quick the meaning of certain commands and tricks and they are very sweet, playful and social. Strong minded too you can get the ocassional hard nip from them (my advice is not to handle any little squared instrument in their presence..yes, cell phones and iPads included!).

Habitat:

Sun conures are in fact native of NE S America (Guyana and Suriname, etc) but these live in Pairi Daiza, Belgium. This species is commonly bred in United States as domestic pets (mine comes from Georgia, for example).

Notes:

(I almost can hear the most righthand side one in the last pic saying: "oh, you guys, get a room already!!..:-)

Thanks! They are so cute. I have one female as pet and she has the most lovely colors! :-)
