Description:

I volunteer with VT Eco studies to count and help with the loons on Great Lake Averill. This is a rogue immature Common Loon (under 3 years of age), meaning it flew in this year from a hatching. Only two pairs nest on this one lake of many in the area lakes. To 3 feet. Most of its body is under water.
