Field Notes

Description:

looks like it is a female black bird ,guessing from the heavy streaking on the breast. It was found in a urban parking lot along with male and female Brewers Blackbirds. it was feeding on seeds left by passerbys.

Habitat:

Foothills

Notes:

Finally saw a female. We have an abundance of males /I read an article recently which said that males and females migrate at different times.

One of my family members saw large flocks of them in Oregon about a month ago. They were all over the town, it snowed a few days later. I have not seen any more either.
No pyoung,i have spotted only one female in the entire season! Still a shortage of females.
Looks like a female. They migrated to your region? Maybe you can get a video of them, if theirs large flocks?? Good photo.
