(ger.: Eiche) deadwood.

This one grew also on the side (and top)...the adult ones on pic 3 are from the side of the stem
It actually looks like the ones growing on one of our dying oaks in one of our fields. I haven't taken any photo of them yet but will do it this summer. But you are right, they are quite similar to the ones on my birch stump, but "mine" didn't grow on top of the stump, only on the sides.
