Field Notes

Description:

The adult loons often leave to head south before the juveniles sometime in October. The Juveniles usually take flight October and early November. The pond has not iced over yet. Hope it leaves for south soon.

Habitat:

Summer in large ponds and lakes. Winter they migrate to the coast.
