scientific name: Equus ferus caballus
I would say they are probably Quarter Horses based on the white spot on the stomach and the size. It is hard to tell without seeing them in profile and from the front to look a the conformation better. But Quarter horses are easy to train and are used often for police.
These are probably a breed called Morgan Horses.
