Field Notes

Notes:

Long, thin, flying insect, about 10-15cm long. Camouflages extremely well in grass and ferns (my husband was pointing it out to me and it STILL took me ages to see it)! Possibly a grasshopper, but I can't figure out what kind. The second shot is a different specimen, only about 5 metres away from the first one.
