Field Notes

Description:

Here's a wild raccoon stopping by one of my wildlife feeders.

Habitat:

Deciduous Forrest. More specifically, in a rural area by creek bottom on the edge of the woods and a field, not far from the Dan river.

Notes:

The contents of this feeder bucket is liquorice. It is also worth noting that I was at this location leaving my scent all over the area just 3 hours prior to this raccoon's arrival.

It's showing now! We are thinking of buying a trail cam to capture the night time activity in our yard - I suspect the raccoon will be the main star of the show as he stops by whenever we hang suet block & makes of with the feeders!
I can't seem to get the thumbnail to update. I might delete this sighting and redo the whole thing when I have time this evening.
Thanks KarenL, I only had the 2 photos of this raccoon. I tried removing both & re-uploading both. I hope it worked.
Your first photo isn't showing - please could you upload it again? Thanks!
