Description:

This bug looks like a nymph of an assasin bug or shield bug. Colors are distorted by the flash as it was at night. It was attracted to a street lamp.

Habitat:

Tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica half way through the 6 month dry season.

It isn't a nymph because it had wings. It is a scentless plant bug, Family Rhopalidae. We have this genus in California, it's a Harmostes sp.
