small low lying, multi-branched plant

Habitat:

spotted on damp rocks near waterfall

Notes:

Interesting, if not ironic, that the spores of this little fern were once used as 'flash powder' in early photography.

Yep, you're right autnance! This distinctive appearance always be Lycopodium, but I just know that its a L. clavatum. May be the species can be different,
