Field Notes

Description:

The dorsal skin is smooth and always green. It has a light, cream-colored stripe extending from the upper lip to the thigh on each side of the body. Shiny, small, golden dots or spots can occur on the back and sides. It has enlarged toe pads. (taken from "A Field Guide to Oklahoma's Amphibians and Reptiles")

Habitat:

Spotted in a semi-wooded marshy area

Notes:

This metamorph still had its tail from the tadpole stage. It would soon be absorbed during its early adaptation to terrestrial life.
