Chrysopelia ornata
8.01967, 98.3458
Field Notes
Description:
Skin of the Chrysopelia ornata. This snakeskin has the head and the eye covers in tact. It is about 1.30 long.
You can see the typical markings on the head of this snake skin.
Habitat:
Our garage /garden.
We live surounded by rubber trees, banana trees and lots of plants and bamboo grass. We have loads of treefrogs for the snake to eat.
Notes:
This snake has been shedding its skin in the same place for as long as we live here. Which is now 4.5 years. It squeezes itself in between the fuses, the fuse box and the wall. The skin loops and tangles around all the wires, goes in and out of the fuse box. We never had a short circuit! We see it getting bigger all the time!
