Description:
Trumpetfish usually display three different color variations: purple, brown, and yellow (as pictured). They often float in feeding position--vertically with their head down--and move with the current to collect align themselves with other fish or objects for camouflage. Typically grow to between 1.5 and 3 feet.
Habitat:
Trumpetfish largely inhabit Caribbean coral reefs and surrounding waters, and have been seen as deep as thirty meters or as close to the surface as .5 meters.
